X6004. To RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}, from EFC. EFC1/AD6.1.30. 6004 X.8665. INTERMEDIATE OUTPUT DYNAMO. In connection with the above we now hand you dynamo carcase SS.{S. Smith}7. together with some dynamo insulating pieces in Super Bakelaque material. Will you please fit these insulating pieces in place of the corresponding existing pieces at present on the carcase end bracket and end cover. In addition will you please fit a commutator end bracket, adapted to suit the intermediate output type of armature. This involves obtaining a standard Phantom II end bracket and redrilling the holes used for securing the control brush holder so as to make the angle between the main positive brush and the control brush 131° instead of 122° as at present. The final adjustment of the control brush we can manage ourselves. Finally, we should like the first of the three new intermediate output armatures, at present being made up for us, fitted into the above carcase and thus complete the first intermediate output machine ready for road tests.
