IN YOUR REPLY PLEASE REFER TO KLG/HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DEPT AND QUOTE REFERENCE. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd. Nightingale Road, Derby. 8th. February, 1923 Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. E.W. Hives. We are in receipt of your letter of Jan. 30th., and much regret to learn that you are not entirely satisfied with the Plugs with which we are at present supplying you. We sent you eight K.I.A. type Plugs on Jan. 29th., our advice No. 24258. These Plugs are intended to stand slightly more heat than the K.I. type, the Mica sleeve being of larger diameter, allowing of a quicker taper on the internal insulation, which we consider makes a better job. We fear, however, that they will not be better for resisting over-oiling, and if this trouble continues, please let us know, and we will endeavour to supply another Plug, although our experience has been that the K.I. Plug withstands sufficient oil for normal purposes. Assuring you of our best attention at all times, Yours faithfully, P.P. THE ROBINHOOD ENGINEERING WORKS LTD. (Signature) Managing Director. | ||
