BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} } FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M26.6.29. re. 20HP. SIDE SPARE WHEEL CARRIER. X 5680 With reference to the information from France sent under cover of HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LG24629., and HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LG21629., we have sent suggestions for stiffening the tubes and the frame, if either of these are found to be desirable. In view of the fact that the same thickness of plate has been used on the Phantom for a long time it is difficult to understand why it should now be giving trouble on the lighter 20HP. We suggest that these results obtained by GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} should be confirmed before extensive alterations are made. We are thickening the plate, and we can increase the surfaces of the fittings riveted to the plate, both of which entail a little more weight. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
