Dear Sirs,

With further reference to the Cadillac 37/60 axle parts we obtained from you, we are still at a loss over the question of the adjustment washer. We have put the bearing on the shaft, and when offering up the hub there is a gap between it and the bearing of over 1/8", which we think should be filled with a washer to prevent the bearing moving endways.

We presume we are right in thinking the Cadillac 60 has a half, and not three-quarter floating axle because the bearing does fit the shaft.

We cannot believe one is supposed to force the hub up the taper until no clearance exists.

In addition to settling this point, we should be glad if you could supply us with a wheel and nuts to suit the hub we already have.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
