BENTLEY 80 ENGINE UNITS - CONTINUED.

No.4. - Test Bed Unit.

No.5. - Fitted to 30.G.VII in connection with 30,000 miles trials.

No.6. - New Units in accordance with specification issued in HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}1/BA.31.3.39, the main items consisting of, (Allocated to 4.B.50 Chassis)

1. EB.4670 Crankcase T.H. and Cylinders to suit 2.750 dia journals.
2. EB.4575 Crankshaft with nose end to EB.4103 to suit Studebaker Damper.
3. EW.2121 Split skirt pistons.
4. EB.4098 Cylinder Head.
5. Ex.33975 Camshaft.
6. Ex.33420 Solid stem exhaust valves.
7. EB.4835 Induction pipe to ECD.1298.
8. EB.4291/2 Exhaust Manifolds.
9. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}576 Flywheel.
10. R.R.Ignition Distributor.
11. Studebaker crankshaft damper.
12. EB.5063 Rocker Cover Oil Face.

No.7.- New Unit, required for Silver Dawn 60 Chassis No.33.G.VII. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s car.

Conventional 8 No.1 Unit.

New Unit, in accordance with specification in HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}1/BA.4.5.39, the main items being.

1. EB.4600 Crankcase and Cylinders.
2. EB.4575 Crankshaft .4% Carbon steel.
3. EB.4740 Pistons - tin plated rings.
4. EB.4532 Cylinder Head.
5. EB.4540 Rocker Cover.

Remarks.

In shop Camshaft removed and fitted in B.80.No.1. Now being rebuilt fitting EB.4512 Camshaft.

TB. to give promise for completion of the Camshaft at the next meeting.

On test prior to fitting to 33.G.VII.

We are to give preferential treatment to the Alum. Straight Eight before this unit. This does not mean we are to hold this unit up.
