AC 678 1M-11-26-4588 BMF AC BULLETIN [EQUIPMENT SALES] X2677 Subject AC FUEL PRESSURE SYSTEM TEST RESULTS. Date 2-28-27 Bulletin No. 11 A Chrysler car equipped with AC Fuel Pressure System was recently tested under the supervision of the Chrysler engineers in the following manner: The carburetor and gasoline strainer bowls were entirely drained. Then using the starting motor it took five seconds for gasoline to appear in the strainer and nine seconds for the engine to fire. This test was made with the car on a level plane. The car was then driven on to a ramp inclined at 15° and the test repeated. It took seven seconds for gasoline to appear in the strainer bowl, twelve seconds for the strainer bowl to fill entirely and twenty-one seconds for the engine to start firing. From a comparison of similar tests with standard fuel systems now in use the results are very satisfactory. | ||
