E.7.C. Ref. NO WE49. X4284 Date 2-10-30 X.NOS. 4284 Delco-Remy Condenser. We have opened up for examination a Delco-Remy condenser which was fitted to the distributor unit we tested extensively on the bench some years ago. The date of manufacture as stated on the condenser itself was July, 1925. Before opening up, the capacity was measured again and was found to be .23 micro-farads showing that the capacity had not varied since manufacture, this figure being also the capacity when we first measured it four years ago. The condenser was very compact measuring 1 1/4" long 3/4" in diameter. The tinfoils were wound asymmetrically so that the ends could be squashed over each end for connection purposes. Connection was made by means of circular brass washers. | ||
