Copy to PN.{Mr Northey} re Controllable Dampers fitted to my Car - 104-MY. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}3/E30.10.33 Referring to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ.28.10.32 I am arranging for the car to be available at Lillie Hall to-morrow between 11.30 and 3, and I gather that you wish to make some comparisons between it and the experimental car to which you refer. I understand from PN{Mr Northey} that the car was tried by himself and several other officials when first received from Derby with the dampers fitted and I have asked him to embody his comments in a memo., which I understand he is doing to-day. I drove the car about 70 miles on Saturday but that is hardly far enough in which to form any useful opinion, especially as it was not possible to attain any really high speeds, but I tried them in the different positions and certainly formed a very favourable impression of them. The ease of control is certainly a very valuable feature. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
