22nd. February, 1939.

Alex Fraser, Esq.,
New Hudson Ltd.,
Icknield Street,
BIRMINGHAM, 18.

Dear Mr. Fraser,

I am so sorry that I shall not be able to come to your dance, once again, but I shall be away from the works for a month, starting early in March. Mr. Dixon, whom you met recently, will carry on in my absence.

I expect you may think I am making an excuse, but I really am going away!

With regrets,

Yours sincerely,
