FANSTEEL PRODUCTS COMPANY

Chicago, Dec. 8, 1920

Rolls-Royce of America, Inc.,
Springfield, Mass.

Att'n. Mr. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Olley, Engr.

Gentlemen:-

You will have received by this time approximately 9 sets of tungsten contacts your #E-3522 and 327. We are much interested in your requirements in this line and shall be very glad to have the results of your tests.

As you of course know, all battery systems of ignition in this country have for six years or more been equipped exclusively with tungsten contact points. All liberty motor ignition during the war was equipped exclusively with Fansteel tungsten contact points. All leading users of tungsten contacts and tungsten metal consider it of great interest not only because it is less expensive but also because it possesses all of the necessary properties that an electrical contact should have. For your information will say, that tungsten contacts have not to date given as satisfactory service on large high tension magnetos but for all other types of ignition they are ideal as we believe your tests will show.

Awaiting further commands, we are

Yours very truly,

FANSTEEL PRODUCTS COMPANY.

Vice-President.
