306 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} c. to Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} c. to GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} - Kingsbury. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}7/AP.31.3.37 PHANTOM III. REAR BRAKES. With reference to a memo from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} from Kingsbury dated 24.3.37., in which he complains that the Ferodo on Phantom III. rear hand and foot brake straps touches and causes binding. According to drawing the Ferodo should be flush with the edge of the shoe. In the assembly bay the Ferodo often overlaps the shoe edge. Will you please see that no more cars leave the factory with this defect. We will see By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} about getting further supplies of Ferodo rather narrower (.010") or with a slight chamfer, say 15°. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} | ||
