To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X9090 E4/M22.12.22. "SEAGULL" ENGINE CAMSHAFT & BEARINGS ' & OIL PUMP DRIVE. X.9090 X.9160 We send you herewith drawing No.LeC.1660 shewing the above. It is intended that the worm wheel of the oil pump drive should be detached before withdrawing the camshaft, by knocking down the oil pump drive shaft. The shaft is permitted to move down .6" and it should then allow the worm wheel to be removed. The camshaft bearings are stepped so that the complete assembly can be easily withdrawn endways. This drawing also shews the rear end of the camshaft together with bearing. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
