1282 TANK DIVISION, Clan Foundry, BELPER. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /AA. {D. Abbot Anderson} 1/BT. {Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} 18th June, 1942. H.W. ADAMS, M.B.E., Area Transportation Officer, Ministry of Supply, 2, Carrington Street, NOTTINGHAM. Dear Sir, I have been advised by the C.E.T.D. to get in touch with you regarding petrol. Until recently my employers, Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., issued me direct with petrol for home to work journeys, and also supplementary petrol for use in my car on journeys in connection with my work. I am now informed by Rolls-Royce that since I am employed solely in connection with the servicing of tank engines, such supplies of petrol as may be required by me should come direct from the Ministry of Supply. In view of this I raised the matter with my Chief, Mr. Robotham, who informed that you would deal with this matter. One of my Colleagues, Mr. Cra'ster, who is on the same job, is similarly placed. Perhaps you would very kindly let us know what form the application should take. Yours faithfully, | ||
