X300a To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Re 35-EX. Before further trials are carried out on this car the following points should receive attention :- (1) Clutch. (2) Propellor shaft requires balancing. (3) Serious oil leak from both ends of gearbox. (4) Oil leak from O.S.F. springbox face joint. (5) Oil leak from sump filter joint. (6) Valve operating gear has deteriorated to the extent that there is now no further "self-adjustment" available. (7) Oil leak from shock damper pump box at bottom plugs. (8) Throttle pedal has too much back slack. (9) Bracket behind instrument board requires fixing. (10) Fairing along NSF. window edge has come adrift. (11) NS.{Norman Scott} horn has failed requires attention. (12) Dynamo commutator and brushes squeal and require attention.
