Dear Sirs,

On referring to correspondence dated the early part of this year, we find that you were good enough to agree to make an engine test with the object of ascertaining the suitability of our Shell lubricating oils for the Rolls Royce car.

The matter however, appears to have been overlooked, and we now write to ask if you will be so kind as to reconsider it and afford us the favour of a test.

We have supplied our oil to many Rolls Royce owners during the season and have had excellent reports, and in one particular case, 14,000 miles have been covered on Double Shell.

In view of the universal distribution and use of our products, we do not consider this quite satisfactory, in so far as your cars are concerned, and should greatly appreciate your opinion of our oils after you have submitted them to such tests as you consider necessary.

From your own point of view you will doubtless prefer first hand experience should any of your clients enquire as to the use of our oils in your engines. For our part, we are willing to
