Dear Sirs, Further to our letter of the 24th inst., we beg to inform you that we have now received the dash instrument from the Prince of Wales' car (115-WJ). We have examined this, and find that your surmise was perfectly correct. The gauge had broken down at the cement which attaches the bottom glass tube holder to the glass tube itself. We can only express regret at the failure, which is most unfortunate on this particular car, and we are of course replacing the complete gauge with a new one forthwith.
