To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. X3875 EFC3/T14.7.28. RE CAMBRIDGE THERMOMETER. The temperature indicated by the thermometer does at times go considerably above 100°C, and does go sufficiently far for the needle to come in contact with the screw in question when the instrument is not fitted with a s top needle stop. We agree that the customer should not be debited and are still of the opinion that we should try and arrange with the Cambridge Co. that if they charge us for repair they should fit the stop (which is at present being fitted on production supplies) free of charge.
