The Order Office have informed me that the following parts are to go from hand to mouth pending the revised design, owing to the introduction of the Isolated Change Gear Mechanism, and Body Isolation Scheme :- Sec.6030 Gearbox. 6 parts. " 6035. Speedometer Drive. 2 " " 6080. Ch.Gear Mechm. 14 " " 7100. Pedals. 14 " " 7130. Dash Bkts. etc. 26 " " 7140. Autovac & Pipings. 1 " " 7141. Oil Pump on Dash. 1 " " 7190. Instrument Board. 6 " " 7360. Wiring & Fittings. 2 " I have discussed this matter with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and he agrees for the dashboard parts to be released for K.2. series, and the Change Gear Mechanism parts are to be introduced at the commencement of K.2. series if possible. A standardisation sheet is being issued covering these parts, and if BY/TWD.{T. W. D???Aeith} will let me have a list of the new and superseded parts, I will take the matter up with Sft.{Mr Swift} with a view to ascertaining whether it is possible for the new parts to be fitted at the commencement of K.2. series.
