X4516 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}1/KT. John Marston Ltd, Paul Street Works, Wolverhampton. March 18th 1933. For the attention of Mr. Dalrymple. Dear Sir, We are despatching to You the two sets of 40/50 HP. car radiator parts to have Harrison Vee blocks fitted to them. These should be built up to the same drawing as the radiator to which you are at present fitting a Marston Mark III matrix. We shall be obliged if you will give these your best attention, and let us have them back again at the earliest possible date as we require them rather urgently. With reference to our telephone conversation a few days back, we note that you think we shall probably be in trouble due to restricted water ways in the bottom tank, if we use one water outlet. Our difficulty is of course retaining sufficient structural rigidity and at the same time providing ample water spaces without altering the general design of bottom tank. We are proposing to test out the effect of using both water outlets as against the one; the results of this test will tell us whether or not our water ways are inadequate. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
