Instructions for changes to the rear springs and front axle on chassis 7-CA.

Changes on Chassis 7-CA.

Will you please instruct the following parts for chassis 7-CA.

1) REAR SPRINGS.

Please instruct

F.3252 - Safety Bolt. 2 off N.S.
F.5721 - Roller Plate. 2 " Ubas.
F.5722 - Roller 2 " C.H.N.S.
F.4725 - Distance Tube. 2 " Nic. S.
Kk129 - Bolt. 2 " Brass.
K.4006 - Nut. 2 " M.S.
K.4506 - Grover Washer 2 " S.S.

Also please instruct Experimental Department

to fit springs of the type F.5681, and of the same load capacity as those at present in use on the car. If, however, these springs are not in the stores, the springs as fitted at present to the chassis can be changed, either by splitting the longest plate at the back end according to drawing F.5681 or else making a new top plate, also split in accordance with this drawing.

2) FRONT AXLE.

Please instruct F.4100 Front Axle - there are forgings in the Stores in a half finished condition.

Please instruct Experimental Department that it is intended to carry out trials with the axle as it is at present, that is, F.4160 with the aluminium packing strips and then to fit this new axle later on.
