NEW CAMSHAFT FOR PHANTOM 11. W.W. were enquiring about this shaft on Friday last and said that the Lec. was received on 11.6.31. The D.O. say that they issued instructions to the shop for the cam forms in By/CS7/EH17.6.31. The camshaft 20.6.31. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} was apparently working from the promise given in RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}1/BE27.5.31, which gave ten days from the date of instructions and he therefore speculated that it would be finished by the first of this month. If the shaft is ready in time we will fit it to 27-EX. engine instead of the 110° shaft with "R" engine cams which we asked you to fit.
