X4117 Expl. Dept. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/MJ. February 26th.1932. C.R. Fairey Esq., The Fairey Aviation Co. Ltd., Hayes, Middlesex. Bear Mr. Fairey, In our endeavour to let you have the car yesterday, we overlooked the fact that some modifications will be necessary in order to be able to insert the starting handle. We are looking into the best way of doing this and will let you know what we decide. The other point is that the number plate was not fixed on very satisfactorily. I met the car on my way back and it was obvious that the number plate was going to obstruct the pot light. You may have some preference to where you would like the front number plate fixed. If there is anything you wish us to do perhaps you will arrange to send the car in to Cricklewood. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
