The metal strips mentioned in your letter are for holding the rear of the body sideways shake. These strips have been supplied with all Wraith chassis and P.III so that the coachbuilders should know exactly when to fit them. They are bolted in the most convenient position on the body either side and meet in the centre of the cross member above the petrol tank. Rough sketch attached.
