I understand from Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that this car is now available for disposal, and that it is up to the latest standard of Phantom II's,plus hydraulic tappets.

Is it really necessary do you think for these tappets to be removed ? You will remember that Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s late car 104-MY also had these tappets, and we left them on and warned N. of it so that if at any time the car came into their hands they would let us have some news of their behaviour. If the ones you refer to are the same as were on Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car(104-MY) than possibly you would not mind very much if they remained on.

Will you please let me know what you decide about this, and also whether you find it necessary to hand the car over to Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} for putting into proper repair before sending it to us for disposal.

We shall naturally be glad to have the car just as soon as it is ready to be handed over to us.
