SHOCK DAMPER CASINGS!

We believe the damper casing is being altered in order to reduce the depth of contact against the frame. This being necessary in order to prevent distortion of the casing when tightening the damper up to a frame which is not perfectly flat.

This appears to be a very suitable opportunity to introduce the other desirable features of the casing shown on N.Sch.3673, which includes a slightly thicker casing and a simplified coring and drilling. At the moment the strength of the casing is only just sufficient for our high damper loads on P.II. governor system.
