Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} for Experimental Dept. Kindly note, we have handed to Mr. Ellis three each 4 lb. and 20 lb. gauges, Nickel finish, made by The Eagle Steam Gauge & Fitting Co. I should be glad if you would ask Mr. Ellis to inspect the mechanism of these and state his opinion in comparison with those made by Salters. The matter of price of this gauge compares favourably with Salters, and, in the past, it would have been a help at different times to have a second string. When Mr. Ellis has completed his test, would you please hand these gauges to the Experimental Dept. for running on cars, and report in the usual way. This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
