LID{A. J. Lidsey} 83499. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}9/H19.11.32. Wop. C.My. Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} See me Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} re. Thermostat Springs. With reference to PN{Mr Northey}'s memo. PN.{Mr Northey}1/WT.18.11.32. it should be pointed out that this spring has not yet been standardised, although such action is being contemplated, and there are no signs of this being fitted to chassis which we are now turning out. This point should be made clear to S. in case of their demonstrations or tests in regard to their Trials cars. On the contrary, it may possibly be a good thing for these to be tested out so that, if satisfactory, they can definitely be standardised. It is also important to make quite sure that it is in order for these springs to be fixed on to existing thermostats. Probably Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} can settle this point. EP.{G.
