RIC. From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} c. to GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}4/MJ.16.6.30. 24-EX. Further to our note Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/MJ.16.6.30., we understand that the tubular cross-member has been instructed for this car. We have decided that this cannot be fitted and the front of the car will therefore be made standard except for the new radiator and bonnet etc. Also, with regard to the centre point lubrication of the axle, the existing procedure of carrying the oil through the axles in the spring shackle will be retained. We have already asked you to modify the clutch, and the other point requiring attention is that we want the corrugated plate in the low inertia spring drive that was in the unit previously, fitted to this car. There is a further item to be fitted to this car which is - two-level filters to be fitted in the petrol tank. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} should instruct this almost immediately.
