Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler Clark.
AERO MAGNETOS.
-----------------

Following our conversation over the telephone we beg to confirm that the four 12 cylinder magnetos Nos.83119/20 and 83132/3 have been returned to you by passenger train, two having been sent on Monday and two yesterday (Tuesday).

Owing to a misunderstanding in our Despatch Dept. these were addressed for the attention of Mr. Harvey Bailey, but we trust our telephone message was received in time to let Mr. Bailey know that the magnetos were those regarding which you had been in correspondence with us.

With regard to the question of increasing the range of advance on our twelve cylinder magnetos we beg to confirm, that the first test of a modified magneto shews that it sparks regularly over a 9,000 volt ball gap, at a speed of 250 R.P.M., whether fully advanced or retarded 30°.

P.T.O.
