| I have a Bentley Car, 4 cylinder, 4 1/2 litres, dated 1929. I should like to have the chassis taken down and carefully examined and then, if the cost is not too large, have it re-assembled and done up where required. During the last 5000 miles she has been over-heating when on a 100 miles run or more. Up to the first 40,000 miles I do not remember her heating at all and we always ran her without a fan belt. I have now put a fan belt on, this has helped her but she still over-heats. The tank is leaking so that we cannot put more than 12 gallons into it. The body also wants thoroughly doing up and re-painting and I should like to know what the charge would be for taking down and re-assembling and also for the body being done up and re-painted. The springs would want carefully attending to. A Se Wayside, Woodcote, Nr. Reading. 9th May 1935. | ||
