This column is for Name of Person addressed. DATE. Re Wakefield's Oils. Mr. Platford, 15.10.12 N5/E151012 [Stamp: 15 OCT 1912] I attach herewith a copy of a report re Wakefield's Racing and Touring Oils. On Messrs. Price's letter I have marked the various figures relating to Messrs. Price's Motorine "B". You will notice the viscosity in the case of the Touring Oil is lower when cold, and higher when hot than Prices. This would tend to use a little more power, but would provide a better lubricated surface. The flash point is rather low, which means, more of this oil would be required than Prices. The evaporation tests also emphasize this point strongly. Although Messrs. Price's figures look so much more favourable than Messrs. Wakefields it may be that on exposing the sample for a second hour to the evaporation test, it would show that the more Contd. This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
