Dear Sirs,

X.4283. X.4414P.

We thank you for your letter ref. M/C.112 of yesterday's date with reference to B.D.W. and H.D.E. batteries. We also thank you for the explanation re points in battery charging instructions which you have given us.

As regards your suggestion of the H.D.E.9 type battery, there is no immediate hurry for our decision on this point, and we would prefer to leave this a day or two until we have gone a little further with our bench tests of the batteries we already have when we shall know more about the internal resistance under heavy discharges.

We will accordingly write you again in the course of a week.

Yours faithfully,
