TEST D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Induction pipe and fishtail to Sch.981. Hot spot pipe to V.233 (this hot spot pipe gives standard position for carburetter).

Power :
With this arrangement power is well below standard at all speeds (see sheet 1V.) The curve given was taken without nozzle, as this arrangement is slightly better than with it.

Distribution:
Poor.

TEST E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Induction pipe and fishtail to Sch.980. Nozzle to V.236 and vertical Claudel Hobson Carb. (Bolted directly to fishtail). (Nozzle to V.236 is of taper section, having and orifice 1.250" X .265". The area of which is approx. equal to the throttle bore).

Power :
Far in excess of standard pipe and carburetter at all speeds, when fitted with nozzle. (see sheet 1V.)

Distribution :
Excellent at all speeds and throttle openings, when fitted with nozzle. Without the latter the distribution is so bad that engine will not run evenly at any speed.
