Complete car, body, chassis, and maximum permissible body weights for a 3 1/4 Litre Bentley prototype.

The Bentley car now running in France is the same in almost every detail as the production chassis. We can therefore accept its weight as representative of its production prototype. (1) Complete car weight, full of petrol, oil, water, one spare wheel and tyre, tool kit, battery etc:- 30 cwt. 3 qrs. 21 lbs. (2) Complete body weight (Saloon body); includes everything supplied and fitted by the coachbuilder, viz: all wings, running boards, lamps, body and all its fittings including all fixing bolts and packings:- 8 cwt. 2 qrs. 7 lbs. (3) From the above we get a chassis weight of :- 22 cwt. 1 qr. 14 lbs. which includes - water, petrol, oil, battery, instruments, one spare wheel and tyre, and all wing stays and bonnet.
