BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} V3730 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG26.6.22. GOSHAWK BODIES. X3730 Y429 Referring to your BJ1/H26.6.22. The minutes of the Sales Conference stated that a body should be tried 2½" wider on 4-Goshawk-11. When I was at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence, we had 4/6-Goshawk-11 cars there and measured up the various dimensions on the bodies. The width of the front seat on 4-Goshawk-11 was 42" - the width of the front seat on 6-Goshawk-11 was 45", which is ½" wider than the dimension stated at the Sales Conference. We also tried, with R.{Sir Henry Royce}, the seating positions of 4-Goshawk-11 and 6-Goshawk-11. It was agreed that 4-Goshawk-11 was too cramped but with 6-Goshawk-11 there was ample room, so much so that R.{Sir Henry Royce} considered that the width of the front seat should be about 1" less on 6-Goshawk-11. At Derby we are in agreement that the front seats on 4-Goshawk-11 are too cramped but we think there is ample room on 6-Goshawk-11 and anything above this will make a cumbersome looking car.
