Re. EXPERIMENTAL EXHAUST MANIFOLDS.

Thank you for your Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/VA.32/RC.{R. Childs}22.3.32., and Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/VA.6/LG.1.4.32., and for the information contained therein.

The experiments on P.I cars appear to be going well and the information is coming in as well as can be expected under the circumstances. We believe that 7-AL, Mr. Dubonnet's car has been fitted with a set of sliding joint type manifolds at Nice, any information you can manage to obtain concerning this car and further information concerning the others will be very much appreciated.

With regard to 20HP cars we do not appear to be making very much headway; we should be pleased if you could manage to urge the fitting of the sliding joint type to a useful car, we are more interested in this than the 'cooling fin' type which is now being fitted as a standard replacement where failures have occurred with the standard type.

We are aware it is a difficult job to gain useful information from customers and we greatly appreciate the success that has so far attended your efforts.

HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/A.J.Lidsey.
