Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.9/AP. 14th July 1937 Messrs John Marston Ltd., WOLVERHAMPTON. For the attention of Mr.Dunn. Dear Sirs, We have received your letter of the 12th inst. for which we thank you and note the remarks contained therein. We would remind you that we are still awaiting the two car heaters which you promised to send us - Messrs Clayton Dewandre are prepared to test these. We understand from Mr. Martin-Hurst of the British Thermostat Co.Ltd., that although it will be approximately 8 weeks before they will be able to supply their own heater motor, he can let you have a sample motor (American) for test purposes. We understand that Messrs Lucas are also contemplating entering either the car heater or car heater motor market - probably the latter. Messrs Clayton Dewandre have now sent us test figures on your plate type oil cooler - we attach them herewith - will you please return them after you have obtained any information you require. Attached sheet shows comparisons between your cooler, the Harrison cooler and our standard oil cooler. Finally, we understand from our Repair Dept. that the supply of reconditioned Ph.III. Mk.V. matrices is inadequate, you will remember that you promised to speed this up. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
