-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KT.1.8.33. the figures we got on test, but we will check up. We are disappointed that you are only getting 14.5 m.p.g. petrol consumption with the new needles as we have had over 17 m.p.g. averaging 55 m.p.h. We should like to be sure that the carburetters are not flooding at any particular speed, as there is a tendency to do this due to vibration. The new needles should have improved your top speed performance. We find that due to the high pressure of the petrol pump the production cars have definitely been over-rich at top speeds, so much so that they would not run up to 4500 r.p.m. easily. We are sending out to you one of the new thinner C & A gaskets which we have. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
