We have a Bentley Radiator which has had a set of dummy shutters rigged up on it in order to dispense with thermostatically controlled shutters and yet retain the present appearance. This work has been done by Messrs. John Marston Ltd.

He has seen this scheme and approved it and we want to put it up for Sales examination on Monday or Tuesday next. Will you, therefore, remove the dummy shutter assembly from this radiator which we will hand to you and fit it to 3BIV car's radiator which we will have removed in the garage. If this arrangement is approved, we shall continue to run it on 3BIV in France and this will necessitate thermostatic by-pass control of the water temperature. Will you, therefore, fit to 3BIV car the thermostat scheme which was instructed on the first 15 Bentleys i.e., to LDP.KB.309.

This will necessitate a special water pump cover to EB 604, the parts should be prepared so that as soon as we know whether the dummy shutter scheme is accepted we can have them fitted.
