20th June 1921.

Messrs Rolls-Royce Limited,
Nightingale Road,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,
X 2625

In further reference to our letter of the 6th inst. we think you may be interested to know we have since succeeded in producing a good heat resisting quality of Hightensite and we send herewith one piece each Sheet and Tube for you to test.

This material is unaffected when immersed in boiling water, in fact, we have tested same in boiling oil at 300 Fahr without any appreciable change taking place, and from the information given to the writer by Mr. Whitehead it occurs to us that this quality is the very thing you are requiring for your various Mouldings which have to withstand the heat inside the bonnet of your Cars.

We have electrically tested a piece of this Sheet 1/8" thick and it has successfully withstood 35,000 volts which we think you will agree is quite satisfactory in this direction.

Trusting to hear that you will try out our samples and awaiting the report of your tests.

Yours faithfully,
HIGHTENSITE LIMITED,
(signed) Sydney Jones,
Sales Manager.
