The case containing the parts returned ex the above car is detained in London and we await a reply to this memo. before we authorise The General Transport Co. to proceed.

We have interviewed Bell again and he is emphatic that he acquainted both Messrs. White and Allen that it was our intention the parts taken out by him should be entered into France under temporary admission.

It is unfortunate that the old parts had left France before a decision concerning the refund was obtained.

Will you therefore, please confirm that no efforts can now be made to obtain a refund of the duty either by yourselves or The General Transport Co.
