HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}

We understand that you now have the details for the armour plate to be fitted up on the Oerlikon mounting.

Will you please make a mock-up of this as soon as possible as per the Minutes of our last Meeting, Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/ML.5.8.40.

The matter is somewhat urgent as, after the mock-up has been approved, the Admiralty have to produce the necessary shield in armour plate, to be ready for your two guns for service trials.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}

Dictated, but signed in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s absence.
