306. AFM{Anthony F. Martindale} File Please file GRY{Shadwell Grylls} Mr. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} PHG. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Kingsbury. 24.3.37. P.III REAR BRAKES. Cricklewood are complaining that the hand and foot brakes are too close together and complaints are coming in of brakes binding through this. Apparently, after a short mileage, the spreading out of the linings is such that a .002 feeler cannot be got between the two sets of shoes, the result being when either brake is used it lifts the other brake, then will not allow it to return fully with consequent binding.
