COPY. J.C.3. 29.1.26. RE ELLIOTT AMMETER NO.140999 on 8-EX. This ammeter has now completed a total mileage of 16,117, about 15,000 of which have been run in France. The ammeter has behaved very well all through the test, there being no trouble or complaints at all. Its appearance is still quite good, and the black finish has not chipped in any way, as was suggested it was likely to do some time ago. The other three Elliott ammeters have not yet done many miles. 11-GIII. No.141001. 112 miles 10-GIII. No.141000. 1337 miles 10-EX. No.140998 1722 miles. All have done well so far and their appearance is also good not having chipped in any way. Ammeter No.141000 on 10-GIII is shortly going to France for a 10,000 mile test. There does not seem to be any reason why these ammeters should not be standardised, although only one has finished 10,000 miles satisfactorily; there does not at the moment appear any reason why the others should not run the same mileage satisfactorily.
