1209. EJJ. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les7/R.21.4.37. BUMPER TEST RIGS. The electrical drive for the one bumper chassis is very satisfactory. Will you please, therefore, arrange for the second rig to be converted. In order that we may be in a position to drive the wheels of a car through the complete speed range, will you arrange for one of the P.II engines which is now used for driving bumper drums to be re-conditioned and fixed up to drive the dynamometer drums. The second P.II engine should be scrapped. The ball valve in the bumper pit drain has been satisfactory on the rig having electrical drive. We should like this also to be fitted to the other bumper rig. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} | ||
