Re Chassis 93 NK.

We have built up 93 NK.

We are having trouble with oil pressure. This drops down to 7 lbs. at low speeds. High speeds 17 lbs. We have dismantled the oil pressure unit, but cannot find anything wrong with the valves. As we have no means here of testing for leaks on crankshaft and conrod bearings, we fastened down the main oil pressure valve (choc-a-bloc). We still could not get our oil pressure after doing this, which proves, more or less, that we are getting an extensive leak either from crankshaft bearings or conrods. The former we suspect of being the cause. This is probably due to taking the crankshaft out and cleaning the bearings up. We propose trying the car once more upon the road, to see if we can maintain a decent oil pressure. If not, it means dismantling the engine again, and finding out which bearings are giving the trouble.
