Normal movement to apply rear brakes is slightly less than movement to apply front i.e. center of rotation of T lever is at point A.{Mr Adams} Clank occurs. By setting up front brakes closer than rear, center of rotation is shifted to B & clank is temporarily cured.

II FIRST EXP.
Length of Suspension Arm was not altered.
PIVOT
With front brakes 1 notch loose rear brakes standard, center of rotation of T lever is about at C, 1" above normal pivot center. With pivot as shown, brakes do not clank.

III SECOND EXP.
Believe this will cure clanking under all practical conditions.

IV Proposal
Strut stop, found to close before Rear whatever the setting. Clank cannot occur. Ratio of braking front & rear unaltered.
