Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter, ref. PS/TAB/GCD. of June 2nd. in reply to your Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}8/JH. addressed for the attention of Mr. Parnell.

At a meeting with our technical people with Mr. Parnell in Derby, reported in Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/ML.24.4.40. (a copy of which you have received) it was agreed that a tandem master cylinder would be designed for our application.

Originally, in a letter ref. PS/FGP/VFB. of March 13th. a twin master cylinder of 5/8 bore was agreed to. At the subsequent meeting at Derby the tandem design was agreed to for obvious reasons.

At the same time, a central replenishment valve and light alloy casing were adopted.

The master cylinder shown on drawing No.12600 and 1/2 is 1.000 inches dia. and has no central replenishment valve.

We would be very glad if you would tell us whether this tandem 1" unit is intended for the proposed experimental layout in place of the twin 5/8" unit originally

Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}
