re Bensport.
----------

We think it would be a very useful experiment as soon as a spare Peregrine chassis is available to fit it up with a Powerplus blower so that we can get some road tests at the earliest possible moment.

It is not very easy on the bed plate to carry out tests to determine the effect of sudden acceleration on carburation, and other induction characteristics, and for this reason we think an advance experiment, as proposed, on the chassis would be most valuable.

We attach herewith a blueprint of LeC.3161 showing how we think the blower and carburetter could be arranged.

The blower actually shown in this rough design is the 1860 cc. model, with which we obtained slightly more than 110 HP. on the bench, but the larger blower of 2250 cc. capacity could be similarly arranged.

We have not yet been able to obtain one of the standard 2250 cc. blowers from Messrs. Powerplus, but we hope to have one available shortly.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
