CJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4086 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG15.6.22. 5/6-GOSHAWK-11. The reasons we suggest re-calling 6-Goshawk-11 car from Grenoble are as follows:- 1. As production of Goshawk is starting seriously forthwith, in order that we can taking advantage of the information gained by the running of 6-Goshawk-11 car in France, and to avoid making parts which will have to be scrapped, we ought to have this car dismantled and examined as soon as possible. 2. As this car has been regularly lubricated, the information to be obtained from this car will be of more value as regards parts wearing than the information obtained from 5-Goshawk-11. 3. The most serious fault at present on 6-Goshawk-11 is the water boiling on the mountains. It has already been agreed to alter the fan, bracket and radiator. We shall not have these new parts ready for about 2 weeks - by that time we ought to have 5-Goshawk-11 (the first car to complete 10,000 miles) fitted with all the latest parts which will include new fan and radiator, nearly ready to be returned to france. 4. At the present time 6-Goshawk-11 is doing very little mileage. 5. 6-Goshawk-11 is fitted with a great number of obsolete parts. A few of them are as follows:- Generator. Shock absorber and connections. Brake drums. Brake compensating shafts. Rear axle shafts and differential. Battery ignition. Fan and Radiator. Front cross member. Battery box fixings and - A number of numerous details. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
